💵 yoga teacher reinforced a core business concept (no woo-woo stuff)

Yoga is keeping me sane right now.

Over the past 10 years, I'll do it off and on for a few weeks, then get distracted and stop doing it after a while.

I think this time may be different for 1 small (but super important) reason.

I was exhausted last night, ready to faceplant onto my bed and slip into a coma for 7 hours or so.

BUT, I mustered up the energy to roll out the yoga mat, get 2 blocks and open the Youtube app on my phone.

Normally, my tendency is to cave in, go to bed and rest up.

Here's the important part:

The reason I keep coming back to do yoga is because the yoga teacher is a guy like me (except he's actually flexible).

His yoga is for men ONLY.

He acknowledges that most yoga instructors are these thin, super flexible females...and that men just simply aren't built that way and can't do the poses like they can.

He tailors the yoga positions so that they accommodate and target the things that men can do, not some 20-something flexible female.

I felt like he was talking right at me (I'm 39).

This is what keeps me coming back.

The same concept applies to building your solo business.

When you narrow your focus to your ideal client (even slightly), your content starts to speak directly to them...and you keep them hooked.

Using tools like XPro can help you do this very effectively. If you'd like to work together to isolate your ideal client so they're hooked and keep coming back, simply reply to this email.

For LinkedIn, I use Sales Navigator but still very much figuring things out. More to come as things progress.

Hope this helps.

To your solopreneur success,

Matt Barron

If you're a 9-5er and looking to build a solo business, you must understand one key concept. One that can make or break your solo business. I've seen it several times where solopreneurs pour their heart and soul into their X account, only for it to get banned for reasons unknown for 4+ months. No email list. No way to get in touch with their supporters. Money goes to $0. Another example is the TikTok situation. Even though it ended up not being a big deal, it was a good reminder that you need...

Hi Reader, I've noticed that when my content adhere's to Kieran Drew's copywriting rules and to proven copywriting frameworks, I attract my ideal clients to my email list. I needed a solution to help me consistently write content adhering to these frameworks and improve my writing. So I built something this week and I want to share it with you here. Give it a try and let me know if it helps you out. To your solopreneur success, Matt Barron

Hi Reader, One of the biggest "arts" to sales is asking questions. The impact has been enormous (I've sold $51m in technology services in >6 years). It all comes down to one core concept...and over the past few months, I've started to apply it to my solo business. I'm thinking about putting together a simple document that describes what I'm talking about and how you can use it in your business. Would that be helpful? Simply reply with a 1 or 2: 1 = yes 2 = no To your solopreneur success, Matt...
