Hi Reader, I've noticed that when my content adhere's to Kieran Drew's copywriting rules and to proven copywriting frameworks, I attract my ideal clients to my email list. I needed a solution to help me consistently write content adhering to these frameworks and improve my writing. So I built something this week and I want to share it with you here. Give it a try and let me know if it helps you out. To your solopreneur success, Matt Barron

Hi Reader, One of the biggest "arts" to sales is asking questions. The impact has been enormous (I've sold $51m in technology services in >6 years). It all comes down to one core concept...and over the past few months, I've started to apply it to my solo business. I'm thinking about putting together a simple document that describes what I'm talking about and how you can use it in your business. Would that be helpful? Simply reply with a 1 or 2: 1 = yes 2 = no To your solopreneur success, Matt...

Hey Reader, This week I've been writing about networking and the power it can have. You need to read this post from Dakota this morning. ...and if this doesn't convince you that making yourself available and being helpful isn't lucrative...then there's no hope for you. Dakota Robertson @WrongsToWrite A few months ago I got on call with a "stranger." Little did I know, I'd be sending him $10,000 just 30 minutes later... I initially got on a call with him because he posted that he was doing...

I love getting real, inbound, non-AI written DMs where people ask me what I'm up to and if I can help them. Most people on X gloat that inbound leads are just flowing into their inbox (which maybe they are for a few folks, but I'd venture to say that most of their DM inboxes are full of broccoli hair-cut Gen Z MFers trying to sell you something on the first message) If you think about it, you really only need 5-10 ideal clients to fully go in on solopreneurship...so when you get an inbound...

Yoga is keeping me sane right now. Over the past 10 years, I'll do it off and on for a few weeks, then get distracted and stop doing it after a while. I think this time may be different for 1 small (but super important) reason. I was exhausted last night, ready to faceplant onto my bed and slip into a coma for 7 hours or so. BUT, I mustered up the energy to roll out the yoga mat, get 2 blocks and open the Youtube app on my phone. Normally, my tendency is to cave in, go to bed and rest up....

Hey Reader, This is a lesson that nearly everyone, especially if you're just starting out, needs to understand. If you want to make $0: focus on tactics about you. If you want to make sustainable and significant money: focus on fundamentals, the problems you solve and who you solve it for. Justin Welsh @thejustinwelsh Questions I often get from solopreneurs making $0: - What tool? - What day? - What time? - What color? - What font? Here's what they should ask instead: - What's my ICP? -...

When I was a kid, I was jealous of schools where kids wore uniforms. I hated picking out clothes everyday (my clothes sucked and I was really bad about asking my parents to take me to get new ones). After all, I am a middle child...I have an older brother and younger sister...so yeah, I'm the 2nd boy. Super easy to get overlooked. Also really easy to underestimate...middle children have MF grit. Anyway, I really liked that those kids would just wake up, not even have to think, put on the same...

Each week I write about a different solopreneur challenge. They all have to be solved in some form or fashion for sustainable, consistent, significant income. Without content, it's hard for your internet business to get attention. Without emails, it's tough to have direct access to your ideal clients, consistently. Without a service offer, it's challenging to generate income (selling digital products off the bat is tough). Without a digital product, it's challenging to scale and create...

Hi Reader, If you've never created a digital product, there's a couple things you want to do first: validate the demand for it keep it simple But, one thing I don't see talked about is proactively bringing product ideas to market. Why should you have to wait to discover your client's problems in order to build your product? What if you could generate ideas, discuss those with your prospects etc and get their feedback? I always love when someone brings me an idea and gives me an opportunity to...
